Help Bring Clean Water to Rural Communities in Adansi South District and Fight Schistosomiasis

The Adansi South District Assembly, in partnership with Patients Friend Foundation, is launching the “Digging deep for schistosomiasis-free communities Project to provide clean water access to the Dwendama community.

Objectives:

•⁠ ⁠Provide clean water for drinking, sanitation, and hygiene

•⁠ ⁠Improve health and wellbeing for hundreds of people

•⁠ ⁠Support community development and economic growth

•⁠ ⁠Reduce the prevalence of schistosomiasis and other waterborne diseases

Schistosomiasis is a major public health concern in our district, causing:

•⁠ ⁠Abdominal pain and diarrhea

•⁠ ⁠Fatigue and weakness

•⁠ ⁠Stunted growth and development in children

•⁠ ⁠Fund water testing and treatment equipment
